Heart of a Leader: Evaluating our Walk with God (15 minutes)
Get into groups of 3-4 people and discuss the following:
What happened as you trusted God with your goals from our last meeting?
In what ways have you sensed the Holy Spirit at work in your life since our last meeting?
Motivation and Encouragement
{need to write something here)

LOOKING UP
New Lesson (30 minutes)
Evaluating Ministry and Movement Health
Provide instructions on how to do Gen Mapping (use a white board or on a large sheet of paper so everyone can see the demonstration.)
Have each person draw a circle with dotted lines to represent their discipleship group.
Above the circle, have them put 3 numbers: # of people in group, # of people who are believers, # who are baptized. For example: 12 / 9 / 7
Add the location, the date the group was started and the name of the leader if there has been one appointed.
Health Chart
Review the list of characteristics from Acts 2:42-47
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,47 praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
that we desire for each group to have. Include symbols or letters to represent each of these characteristics:
Prayer (draw a symbol of someone praying or write “PR”)
Worship (draw a music note or write “WP”)
Studying the Word (draw a book or write “WD”)
Witness/Prayer, Care, Share (draw a symbol of seeds or write “WIT” or “PCS”)
Fellowship (draw a heart or write “F”)
Baptism (draw a symbol of water or write “B”)
Giving (draw a symbol of money or write “G”)
Lord’s Supper (draw a cup or write “LS”)
Leaders (draw a shepherd or smiley face or write “LD”)
Impacting Community (draw people or write ("IC")
Evaluate your group(s). If the group is practicing that characteristic, then write that word or symbol inside the circle. If the group is not practicing that characteristic write the symbol outside the circle.
When a group identifies as a church, it is represented by a solid circle.
Draw a sample of 2-3 generations of groups to explain that the process is done for each group and each generation.
LOOKING FORWARD
Preparing for Mission: Evaluating our Leadership (20 minutes)
In small groups of 3-4, explain your diagram and discuss:
What is going well?
What is not going well? What obstacles are you facing?
What are possible solutions from the other group members?
What do you need to do to add the missing characteristics into each group?
NOTE: The multiplication networks will be very small at this point in the process. We are just teaching the format of Gen Mapping and reinforcing the main outcome we are trusting God for in this training process.
Set goals from your evaluation and share them with your small group. Pray for one another.
